Terms of Service
ATOL Protection
Journeys by JJ operates as an agent of licensed tour operators and suppliers under the Independent Travel Expert (ITE) network. All air holidays and flights shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. An ATOL Certificate will be issued for each qualifying booking confirming your financial protection.
ATOL protection primarily covers customers who book and pay while in the United Kingdom. For more information, visit the CAA ATOL website.
Our Role as Agent
Journeys by JJ acts as a travel and booking agent for the providers (“Principals”) who supply your flights, accommodation, cruises, and other travel services. All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant Principal. Journeys by JJ is not liable for any failure or negligence by these third-party suppliers.
Prices & Offers
All prices are per person, based on two adults sharing (unless otherwise stated), and are subject to availability and change. Substitutions may be made where necessary (e.g. if a hotel is fully booked, a similar standard hotel will be offered). Hotel ratings reflect local classifications.
Some coach tours, cruises, or tours may vary due to operational reasons. All offers are financially protected through ABTA and/or ATOL, where applicable.
Travel Insurance
It is a condition of booking a package holiday that you have adequate travel insurance in place. Journeys by JJ can refer you to trusted, regulated insurance providers. If you choose not to take out insurance via referral, you may be asked to sign a waiver or provide proof of alternative coverage.
Journeys by JJ accepts no liability for any injury, delay, loss, or damage if insurance is not secured or is insufficient.
Payments & Pricing
Prices may be subject to change until your booking is confirmed. Prices are only guaranteed once full payment has been received. All quoted times and prices are subject to change if required due to airline, supplier, or regulatory adjustments.
Booking Confirmation
Your booking is not confirmed until you receive written confirmation and (for flight-inclusive packages) an ATOL Certificate. Unless otherwise stated, bookings are considered non-refundable once confirmed.
Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations must be submitted in writing by the lead passenger. Deposits are non-refundable. Additional cancellation charges may apply depending on the supplier involved.
Standard cancellation charges:
If you need to cancel your booking, the following charges will apply, based on the number of days before your scheduled departure that written notice of cancellation is received:
More than 98 days before departure – Loss of deposit only
Between 57 and 98 days – 30% of the total booking cost (or the full deposit, whichever is greater)
Between 29 and 56 days – 50% of the total booking cost
Between 22 and 28 days – 75% of the total booking cost
Between 8 and 21 days – 90% of the total booking cost
7 days or fewer – 100% of the total booking cost
Please note: Different charges may apply to bookings that include low-cost airline tickets, cruises, or scheduled flights. These will be confirmed at the time of booking or prior to cancellation.

Amendments & Changes
Amendments to existing bookings must be made in writing. A £50 admin fee applies to changes, subject to availability and supplier terms. Further charges may apply depending on the nature of the change.
Final Balance & Non-Payment
Final payment is due no later than 14 weeks before departure, unless otherwise stated. Failure to make payment by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking and loss of any monies already paid.
Passports, Visas & Health
It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet all passport, visa, and health requirements for your destination. Journeys by JJ cannot be held responsible for issues arising from invalid documentation or health requirements.

Flight Reconfirmation
Where flight reconfirmation is required, it is the passenger’s responsibility to do so. Journeys by JJ is not liable for missed departures or rescheduled flights due to failure to reconfirm.
Ticket Delivery
Tickets will be provided by email or post. If posted, they are sent at the client’s risk. Airport collection for late bookings can be arranged; additional fees may apply.
Incorrect Booking Information
Details submitted at the time of booking are accepted as accurate. Journeys by JJ is not responsible for errors or losses resulting from incorrect information provided by the client.
Liability
In the event of a claim, the maximum liability of Journeys by JJ is limited to the total amount paid to us for the booking in question, minus any irrecoverable costs.
Jurisdiction
All agreements are governed by English law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Privacy, GDPR & Data Protection
In order to process your booking, we collect personal data including your name, address, contact details, and any relevant health, mobility, or dietary requirements. This data is used solely for arranging your travel and fulfilling legal obligations.
We only share your data with suppliers (e.g. tour operators, airlines, accommodation providers) to facilitate your booking. Your data may also be disclosed to public authorities such as immigration or customs if required by law.
Your data is stored securely and in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). We do not use your data for marketing unless you explicitly opt in. You have the right to access, update, or request deletion of your data at any time.
